Revealing week

The analysis in this morning’s Debka article is solid, though I disagree with the call to action in the last two paragraphs in reference to Israel.

The USA’s president should have never opened his mouth in reference to red lines in referring to Syria a few months ago. He was shooting off his mouth and publically displaying his arrogance. Now here we go again. He states he is going to make them pay with a precise “shot over the bow” and then contemplates his navel and jelly backbone for the week, just long enough (if does such action) that Assad has moved his helicopters, planes, troops to safe shelter so as to minimize any actual damage. Again, we have no business being the world’s police. They (Syria) have not attacked us or our allies nor is our allies (Israel) wanting us to attack Syria. We should keep out of it – period.

I agree that the activities in Syria and the bungling bravado of our current administration has bolstered AQ, Iran, Hezbelloah and Assad while also providing more insight to Israel about just how solid our actions will be in reference to the Iranian nuclear issue.

The United States of America has a lot of problems which are not being addressed or are being addressed incorrectly. The current administration elected by the majority of voters in our clueless society is an accurate snapshot of the ills of our society. At the core the issue is a values system that is erroneous and often immoral. You can not reasonably or sanely expect consistent moral and ethical behavior from such a damaged foundation.

Egypt, Iran, Benghazi & USA

In Egypt the frustration of the past year’s experience at the hands of the MB/Islamists/Muslim Extreme-Fundamentalism has resulted in the military, the temp government and the majority of the population putting measures in place to not allow the roaches back inside the house. Of course it is no surprise to those who have been observing that the USA’s WH is on the wrong side of the equation. O continues to do all he can as quietly as possible to block or at least hinder the safety precautions the people of Egypt want put in place. We need a way to speed up time so we can get this bum out of the WH and unplugged from the government’s vast resources.

The so-called moderate (which he isn’t) Rouhani of Iran continues the hatred out of the heart in spewing poisonous words about and to Israel. He claims he was misquoted, you read it and tell me the difference. The reality is though many will only read the new headline and take it as the truth; “see, he’s not so bad…” Of course all this time has allowed the ongoing production of nuclear technology. All this time has come via the resistance of the UN and especially the WH to act with military precision.

Meanwhile more is coming out about the whole Benghazi tragedy and how the WH again is on the wrong side of the equation. Complicit in the details and now complicit in the cover-up. No exaggeration – O needs to be impeached and pressed with charges. Not just him, but Hillary and others as well. The majority of the cover-up IMO is to attempt to clear Hillary so she can have as clean as a plate as possible for a presidential election run. Heaven help us PLEASE! O’s second term is Hillary’s timetable to rest, produce, finagle, arm-twist and raise money while her and hubby Bill’s network of resources do their thing to position her as the cream of the Democratic party. O’s job? Safety and Teflon production for Hillary.

Meanwhile in the USA the feeble masses have allowed the truths behind Snowden’s hard work to fade almost completely away from the national conscience and consciousness. These are symptoms of how someone like O became president in the first place. Here is the hard reality of the nation called the United States of America > people don’t care enough about the reality and direction of the country to muster an American Spring. The opiates of MSM, entertainment industry, pharmaceuticals and alcohol have created a pickled nation unable to concentrate or keep a clear thought. Stimulus is what is craved and once that stimulus is consumed, attention goes to the next opportunity of stimulus consumption. Stimulus consists of sex, violence, gossip/dirt, immorality, self-indulgence, gluttony, voyeurism, information and purchasing power. On the other hand, thinking, intelligence, reason, morals, ethics and values are minimized if not absent.

Egypt, Iran, NSA and the American Government

Deputy Secretary of State William Burns, the first senior US official to visit Cairo since the military coup of July 3, exchanged tough talk with the coup leader, Defense minister Gen. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Monday, after he met interim President Adly Mansour and Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawi.
The general frankly advised Washington to be more realistic about the situation in Egypt. Accordingly to DEBKAfile’s Middle East sources, El-Sisi asked Burns bluntly why the Obama administration backed the Muslim Brotherhood and appeared to accept an Egypt plunged in chaos and economic meltdown during Mohamed Morsi’s one-year presidency. Mustafa Bakari, an Egyptian politician, issued a brutal assessment of U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson. Bakari stated, “In my opinion, she [Patterson] is a member of the sleeper cells of the Brotherhood, likely recruited by Essam al-Erian or Muhammad al-Baltagi.”

In a June 18 speech, Patterson made the following statement in a speech about the turmoil in Egypt:

“Some say that street action will produce better results than elections,” Patterson said. “To be honest, my government and I are deeply skeptical.”

Patterson, who is reportedly in line for a promotion as Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, has been increasingly viewed, according to Hudson, as the “key implementer for a policy that at least offers tacit support to the Muslim Brotherhood.” Article here

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told CBS News’ Face the Nation that Iran will reach the “red line” he laid down at the United Nations in Sep. 2012–90% uranium enrichment–within “a few weeks,” and that Israel will be prepared to act. “I won’t wait until it’s too late,” he told CBS News’ Bob Schieffer.

Netanyahu described Rouhani as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” whose strategy was “smile, and build a bomb.” He insisted that Iran “stop all enrichment of nuclear material, take out the enriched uranium, and shut down the illegal nuclear facility in Qom,” or face harsher sanctions and, in the last resort, military action. Thursday, the Egyptian military reported that a security operation carried out by the armed forces in northern Sinai in the past 48 hours had led to the deaths of 10 jihadists. Armed militants killed three Egyptian policemen in earlier separate attacks overnight.

Thursday, DEBKAfile reported that the security situation in Sinai and along the Egypt-Israel frontier is rapidly going from bad to worse. The Islamist coalition’s war on Egyptian police and military positions has gone far beyond the isolated strikes here and there reported by official spokesmen, DEBKAfile’s military sources report.

Hundreds of Salafist Bedouin, Muslim Brotherhood adherents and Palestinian Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters from the Gaza Strip have joined forces to block northern Sinai’s key road arteries. They have stopped traffic to the Egyptian-Israeli border terminal at Nitzana, to the US-led multinational national observer base at Al Gora near El Arish, and to the big cement factory built by the Egyptian military in El Arish which is the region’s main source of employment.

By blocking those roads, the Islamist fighters have choked off the movement of goods between Egypt and Israel and placed 1,000 MFO troops, including some American officers, under siege.  Any vehicle driving in or out of Al Gora comes under anti-tank rocket fire. Flyers have been distributed forbidding locals to take jobs with Egyptian security forces or MFO.

The Islamists are now attacking Egyptian military and security targets at the rate of 30 strikes a day, traveling at speed between targets in minivans on which rocket launchers and heavy machine guns are mounted, or using motorbikes for raiders brandishing rocket-propelled grenades.  Article here

Collect it all:
In late 2005, as Iraqi roadside bombings were nearing an all-time peak, the National Security Agency’s newly appointed chief began pitching a radical plan for halting the attacks that were killing or wounding a dozen Americans a day.

At the time, more than 100 teams of U.S. analysts were scouring Iraq for snippets of electronic data that might lead to the bomb-makers and their hidden factories. But the NSA director, Gen. Keith B. Alexander, wanted more than mere snippets. He wanted everything: Every Iraqi text message, phone call and e-mail that could be vacuumed up by the agency’s powerful computers.

“Rather than look for a single needle in the haystack, his approach was, ‘Let’s collect the whole haystack,’ ” said one former senior U.S. intelligence official who tracked the plan’s implementation. Collect it all, tag it, store it. ... And whatever it is you want, you go searching for it.”

The unprecedented data collection plan, dubbed Real Time Regional Gateway, would play a role in breaking up Iraqi insurgent networks and significantly reducing the monthly death toll fromimprovised explosive devices by late 2008. It also encapsulated Alexander’s controversial approach to safeguarding Americans from what he sees as a host of imminent threats, from terrorism to devastating cyberattacks. Article here

2 cents:

  • Egypt: Hopefully the USA’s government will allow the government re-organization in Egypt to play out. Considering the people in leadership (cough, hack) in our government we should stick the sidelines with our mouths shut and eyes looking elsewhere (such as Iran or domestically). If Ronald Reagan was alive and was our president my diagnosis would be very different but since we have a…. well, let’s leave it as “unsaid”.
  • Iran nuclear aspirations: We need to have the IAEA approach the new government of Iran and see what plays out. Change in transparency? Nicer language and positioning but the same activities? Ultimatums need to be pocketed as well as any embargo-easing.
  • Domestically, the USA is almost a year into the four year term of the pathetic leadership (cough, hack) that was elected. Our problems/issues are numerous. The lack of wise practical leadership is massive. I think the question is how long can the country and its economy tread water? Other questions: Will the conservative, Christian people have a serious contender to offer up to the nation as a choice for the next presidential election? Will tangible positive change be swept into Congress? Will the people in the USA quit allowing themselves to be led by MSM and its hateful destructive philosophies? Will the concerned, ethical citizens of the USA unite and push for the much needed responsible systemic changes that the local, state and federal governments need? An American Spring?

Obama: Pro-Muslim extremism and the need for an “American Spring”

The corrupt, unethical & immoral presidential leadership of the USA needs to be rebuked and removed for its inability to behave in a ethically moral way. His – the president – MO of shooting off his mouth, getting in the way of historical allies, sticking his nose in everyone’s business while ignoring the substantial problems in his own country —- needs to come to an end. While it is true that his actual post is a reflection of the glaring problems in the society of the USA moral, spiritual and philosophical fabric; that should not provide him license to behave in the manner he has since winning his first election. Leadership should not be reduced to a benchmark of society. Leadership is suppose to lead and pull the organization/people up with them and thereby hopefully others who are watching as well. We have a leadership vacuum in the executive and legislative branches of our government. We NEED an AMERICAN SPRING.

Today’s Debka article summarizes two recent shenanigans of the current WH administration. Please take a brief moment and look at the reasoning behind the actions.

“To calm the tension, the US Embassy in Egypt said on its website Saturday: “We deny false claims in the Egyptian press that US naval ships are in the vicinity of the Arabian Peninsula and the Suez Canal to militarily invade Egypt.”

According to our sources, the US flotilla was brought in to warn Egyptian strongman Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his generals that if they took their persecution of the Muslim Brotherhood too far, American Marines stood ready to step in.”

2 cents: Since when is corralling instigators of violence considered persecution? Since when is arresting conspirators of murder considered persecution?

“The Obama administration is signifying its strong disapproval of Israel and Egypt taking matters in their own hands in the last two weeks, DEBKAfile’s military and Washington sources report: Israel was accused of independent military action against Syria, and the Egyptian army of persecuting the Muslim Brotherhood after deposing President Mohamed Morsi.

Washington is also highly displeased with the campaign the Egyptian army launched after the coup, with Israel’s active support, to root out the Islamist terror blighting the Sinai Peninsula. US warships and marines are now parked off Egypt’s Red sea coast as a deterrent to the generals in Cairo.

For whipping Israeli into line, the administration used another method, i.e., Pentagon leaks naming Israeli air strikes as responsible for the explosions at the Syrian weapons depot outside the port town of Latakia on July 5, which demolished a fresh stock of Russian Yakhont (NATO codenamed SS-N-26) shore-to-ship missiles along with their advanced radar.
Although CNN ran this leak Friday, July 7, sourcing it to three separate unnamed US officials, the New York Times repeated the story Saturday and it was picked up by more US media for the third day running on Sunday.

Israel declined to comment on the report.”

2 cents:

  • When a nation is trying to address terrorism within its borders why would you threaten them? They are not arresting peace abiding civilians. They are going after people similar to the two idiots who terrorized Boston.
  • When your allies act on what they said they would do if advanced weapons were brought in close to their borders – since when would you throw them under a bus? Why would O object to keeping the Hezbollah and Syrian pro-Assad supporters away from advanced weaponry?

2 cents on Snowden and the WH

1. I would not classify him as a traitor.
2. At Dictionary.com – hero is defined as “a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities.” Using or understanding this definition I believe you would have to classify Snowden as a hero.
3. The package of charges pressed against him yesterday are scandalous, unethical and corrupt.

Unfortunately because of what the US government is doing and the way they are doing it, the only way to get the information out to the masses is something akin to what Snowden has done. I do not make the comments like “We need an American Spring” lightly. I realize how painful that could be. But the reality is that the world we live in is not the REAL world at all. Put another way, we are not as free as you or I might think. We have allowed the erosion of our liberty, pursuit of happiness and freedoms to such a level and by such means that they can, are and have been taken away in such a matter that we are ignorant of its impact. Of course one could argue “then what is the big deal?” Easy – when the government decides it is in its best interest to greatly restrict our livelihood, all the pieces and processes will be in place so that avoidance will be virtually impossible.

We NEED an American Spring!

Beneficial reading

Published today in the UK by Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald is the short article: On the Espionage Act charged against Edward Snowden. Greenwald is one of the journalist that Snowden reached out to when deciding to go forward with whistleblowing on the US government.

It is a good synopsis about the intent of Snowden and the intent of the diabolical corrupt White House, a.k.a President of the United States.

Here are a couple blurbs from the article:
“What has been “harmed” is not the national security of the US but the ability of its political leaders to work against their own citizens and citizens around the world in the dark, with zero transparency or real accountability. If anything is a crime, it’s that secret, unaccountable and deceitful behavior: not the shining of light on it.”

“Prior to Barack Obama’s inauguration, there were a grand total of three prosecutions of leakers under the Espionage Act (including the prosecution of Dan Ellsberg by the Nixon DOJ). That’s because the statute is so broad that even the US government has largely refrained from using it. But during the Obama presidency, there are now sevensuch prosecutions: more than double the number under all prior US presidents combined.”

“But that’s a far cry from charging Snowden, who just turned 30 yesterday, with multiple felonies under the Espionage Act that will send him to prison for decades if not life upon conviction. In what conceivable sense are Snowden’s actions “espionage”? He could have – but chose not – sold the information he had to a foreign intelligence service for vast sums of money, or covertly passed it to one of America’s enemies, or worked at the direction of a foreign government. That is espionage. He did none of those things.”  [2 cents: The US government’s present to him for his birthday was the charges of treason etc..]
