Socialism is a failure
RUSH: … All of this that’s happening is going to implode, just like it imploded in the Soviet Union. Folks, socialism has never worked anywhere. It always implodes. It always fails. And Obama is nothing special. He’s not a messiah. He doesn’t have a magic wand that can turn a demonstrated failure of a system into a success. It is going to go the way of the dinosaur. The question is when, and how much damage is done in the process. It’s a question of timing.
It could be hastened if we had a little bit more political activism and leadership at the elected level, but this can’t be sustained. It can’t work. It never has worked. What’s going to happen is what Margaret Thatcher said: The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of the other guy’s money. You run out of other people’s money. Now, in our case, we can print money. Italy can’t print money; Greece can’t print money. We can. So we can continue this charade longer than other nations have been able to.
But at some point this is going to collapse on itself. The objective is to make sure the country is not permanently destroyed in the process of this happening. But this that Obama is trying, this that he wants to do cannot work. It cannot work mathematically. It cannot work politically. It cannot work ideologically. It never has. Nowhere has it ever worked at any time in human history. Obama’s way has never worked. What will happen eventually is that the beneficiaries — the people who think that they are the beneficiaries, the people who are totally relying on government — at some point (and it may not be my lifetime, I don’t know, but at some point) it’s gonna stop.
The gravy train is going to end. They’re in for a huge shock and surprise. The low-information people are going to be stunned into reality at some point. There’s no avoiding it. Now, hopefully we can hasten this with future elections. I know that looks bleak. But at some point, everything Obama believes in is gonna go down the tubes, because it always has. Call it whatever you want: Liberalism, progressivism. It is all built on a foundation of lies. The people who espouse it can’t be honest about it.
The people who believe in it cannot tell you what their real plans are. That’s why the Democrats have not done a budget. The reason, the sole reason Democrats have not done a budget is to hide their true intentions. There have been some other reasons. Not doing a budget allows them to accomplish more of what they want, because they’re doing it on the sly. You know, they’re doing it in the dark, under the cover of darkness, and they’re doing it crisis to crisis to crisis to crisis. But it’s dishonest. It’s like Reagan said about the Soviet Union. They’re gonna implode of their own immorality. And he was right.
It eventually will happen to every communist or socialist setup. Now, some last longer than others. Even North Korea, at some point — may not be in our lifetime — but that’s gonna blow up. Cuba’s gonna blow up. The ChiComs are engaged in a shell game right now. The ChiComs wouldn’t be where they are if it weren’t for capitalism. They can’t admit it so they’re trying to keep communist control over as much of their society as they can.
The biggest fear that the ChiComs have is the people that live out in the country want to move to the cities. The ChiCom challenge, they’ve gotta create jobs in the countryside to keep the peasants there. If they overrun the cities looking for work, there’s big trouble. But the ChiCom solution, the ChiCom route to economic power has been capitalism. So that’s why I’m not going anywhere. It is gonna happen. It is gonna implode. It can’t do anything other than that. As I say, it’s what happens in the meantime. Just how damaged is the country going to be? And the potential for damage is great. I mean, real havoc is being reeked here. This country is being divided purposely along racial lines and class lines.
I find it really stunning. We are going backwards in this country. We are separating people by class. We are separating people by race. We are not encouraging people to do better. We are not inspiring people to be the best they can be. We are essentially acknowledging that people are not very good and don’t have much hope. Well, not “we.” The Obama people are thriving by telling their voters who they ought to hate, who they ought to oppose, who they ought to try to eliminate, wipe out, in a political sense, and it’s all based on race or other forms of ethnicity. It’s terrible. And now the Gallup poll is out and we’ve lost our optimism. And I don’t think it’s a coincidence.
The level of optimism in this country is at a low not seen since 1979, Jimmy Carter. Only 39% of the people in this country are optimistic about the country. Now, I checked the e-mail when I mentioned this in the first hour or second hour. People sent me e-mail, “Well, how do you explain Obama being reelected?” It makes perfect sense. If you’re sitting out there and you’re in a defeatist frame of mind, and you have no hope for the future, then you vote for the guy who’s telling you that there’s a way of dealing with all this and that he’s in the process of fixing it or making it fair or what you have. But I think it makes perfect sense that the lowest level of optimism since 1979 would result in Obama being reelected.
There’s a lot of factors, by the way, that go into why Obama was reelected, and largely it’s not enough Romney voters turned out. It’s a whole ‘nother discussion for a whole ‘nother day. But we’re in the midst here of, I think, designed — I don’t say this lightly. We’re in the midst here of designed class and race wars. They’re brewing out there. The president, in an inaugural address, the president of the United States was filled with venom for his political opponents, and there are 60 some odd million of them who voted against him. It’s not just the Republicans in Washington. There’s 67 million Americans who voted against Obama. He declared war against them, too. He declared war against Republicans and, by extension, anybody who voted for them.
We’ve got the biggest domestic challenge this country’s faced in a long time, under the guise of fixing all of these horrors that went on in our past. We’re heading right back to them. We are reconstructing those horrors under the guise of fixing it all, finally. There’s a giant deception taking place, but my point here is that it has never worked, and it isn’t going to work here. And at some point — I don’t know what’s gonna cause it, and this is not rose-colored glass eyesight or any of that. I’m just telling you my instincts, gut instincts, prediction, future, what have you.
This country breeds people who want to be good, be the best, who want prosperity. It breeds them. And at some point people are going to awaken and demand better and realize that it’s gonna be up to them. Because the longer this goes on, the more it’s gonna be demonstrated that all these promises are empty, that all this talk about everybody getting a fair shot and hard work — not gonna happen. And it’s gonna get uglier before it gets better. But it’s what was elected. Anyway, sorry for the long dissertation, but in response to our last caller, that’s why I’m hanging in there, ’cause I want to be here when it bottoms out and rebounds.

RUSH: So if you think that we can’t do any better, why not vote for Obama? If you think, if you’re part of the new group of pessimists, you say, “What difference does it make? I’ll vote for Obama, what the hell. I’ll vote for the first black president. At least they won’t call me a racist. What the hell, I don’t want anybody new.” If you think that you can’t do any better, the whole thing’s over. “I’ll vote for Obama. Why not vote for Obama, what difference does it make anyway?” We were outnumbered by the takers in the last election. Makers didn’t show up.

How he should have answered coolly:
“I wanted to ask you these questions four months ago. Despite four months passing – you still don’t have answers.”
Real problems
There is a lot going on – and IMO most of it is wrong. Actually, at least for me, it is overwhelming. I blog as a means of trying to have a voice in this large nation. I also blog to share information that I feel a lot of people have not seen. The world stage is even more intense and it seems to be at a slow boil. The whole Iran nuclear issue is not getting much noise due to the run up to the soon Israeli elections. The election results will be viewed by some as a mandate as to how to proceed. All this to “say” that I think the USA, that many of us remember, is a memory and something we won’t be able to recapture. Systemic change needs to occur and it because of the values involved it may very well be a civil war. The federal government obviously has the upper hand so it won’t be easy but it can be done. How else can things get corrected considering the restrictions & limitations as to how things can be changed via the system. Values and principles are at the heart of what is going on here and I think it is tied directly to spiritual/religious perspectives. Titus 1:16 “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.”

MARK LEVIN: You know folks, I’ll be honest with you. I just told a friend of mine — even though I sit behind this microphone and I try to be civil and so forth — I can barely contain my fury about what’s going on in this country. I’m just being honest with you. I can barely contain it. I’m so frustrated by this tyranny, you have no idea. Now we can analyze it, we can intellectualize it, we can parse it and so forth and try to unravel it. But I’m just telling you, from an emotional point of view, it is just so damned infuriating to see the greatest country on the face of the earth run by a bunch of lilliputians, who are constantly attacking it from within.
No discussion on the news programs about an imperial president exercising an authority he does not have under our constitution. Nothing. No discussion about all the lives saved and all the people protected as a result of the Second Amendment. Nothing. They continue to perpetuate the lie, the big lie that somehow, some new regulation, some new government fiat would have prevented what happened in Newtown, Connecticut. And then they pretend that they’re for law enforcement. They pretend that they’re hard on crime when they’re not.
We have evidence over one decade after another of how the very same people pushing for gun control against law-abiding American citizens support radical left-wing judges who are soft on criminals, support weakened sentencing rules, decriminalizing this and that. Since when was Obama strong on fighting crime? Since when has Obama supported law enforcement? But here he is, you know, ‘we have to stop gun violence.’ No, we have to stop violent criminals.
Now, there’s a fury in me — I’m just being honest with you — that I’m trying to contain. Biden, the moron Senator from Delaware, taking his train back and forth and back and forth on Amtrak. Oh wow, what a guy. Anyway, so they may do by executive fiat — I’m trying to read between the lines — a national gun database. Now, why would we need a national gun database? Well, listen, we need to know who has the weapons, at all times, and how many weapons they have and what weapons they have. How come? Why? The guy that killed all those people in Newtown, Connecticut, we know who he was and we know who had the weapons, his mother. So what does this national database have to do with anything? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Oh, okay, but we need one anyway, right? To prevent what exactly? To prevent what? (Mark Levin Show, January 10, 2013)
Hillary Clinton in hospital amid speculation of plane accident in Iran
Something I just came across from Debka that I will be researching to see if I can find out if there is anything to the story.
I had noticed that she has been absent but I figured it was to avoid testimony and being put on the record about the 9/11/12 events.
Part of me actually suspects that she doesn’t want to cover O’s foreign policy bungling in the Middle East.
NOTE: NYT is reporting that the blood clot is actually in a vein between her skull and brain but that she is doing fine.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s admittance to the New York-Presbyterian Hospital Monday, Dec, 31 – with a blood clot caused by concussion – gave wings to a cloud of rumor and conspiracy theories surrounding her state of health. The hospital, where Saudi King Abdullah was also treated two years ago, stated that the Secretary was receiving anti-coagulents and her condition would be assessed after 48 hours.
However, NBC television’s medical correspondent Robert Bazell was skeptical about the blood clot being caused by an earlier concussion because, he said, it if were, it would not be treated with anti-coagulents. “So either it’s not really related to the concussion and she’s got a blood clot in her leg or something, or there’s something else going on that we’re not being told.”
Speculation about her condition started flying about in early December, when she cancelled without notice, her participation in the Friends of Syrian forum in Marrakesh on Dec, 6. Not only was she one of the founders of this forum, but her presence was vitally needed at the time because NATO and Washington were picking up suspicious movements of the Syrian army’s chemical weapons, which marked a disastrous turn in the Syrian conflict.
She was first reported to have come down with flu and, three days later, on Dec, 9, with a stomach bug.
On Dec. 10, the day before she was due to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee on the September 11 terrorist attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi – in which Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other US diplomats lost there lives – the State Department which has been heavily under fire over the episode, announced that Clinton had sustained a concussion after fainting out from dehydration.
None of the details normally released in such cases, such as when exactly she fainted, the seriousness of the concussion she suffered or how she was being treated, was offered. A State Department source was only willing to say it was “not severe.”
According to another unofficial report, she was apparently working from home. No one in the office appeared to have been delegated her functions although the secretary herself has not been been absent for three weeks.
Then, Friday, Dec. 21, President Barack Obama announced the nomination of Massachusetts Senator John Kerry as next Secretary of State. Clinton had made it known for some time that she intended stepping down at the start of Obama’s second term of office. It was reported that she had talked to the president and Kerry, and commended the senator as having proven his mettle in a long and wide-ranging military, political and diplomatic career. Nothing was said on this occasion about her state of health.
But around Tehran and the Gulf Emirates, DEBKAfile was already picking up insistent rumors claiming that Clinton was seriously injured while on a secret mission in the region in the first week of December. Some claimed that in the same incident, Americans in her party – advisers and security personnel – were either injured or killed. Those rumors did not say what her secret mission was. However, the episode described occurred shortly after Dec. 1, when, asDEBKAfile reported at the time, Obama administration officials and senior representatives of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei launched secret talks on Iran’s nuclear program.
Although our sources have not identified the negotiators on either side of the table, one of the theories floating around certain capitals claimed that Hillary Clinton three weeks ago was on her way to a secret meeting with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in regard to those negotiations. The plane carrying her from Bahrain logged its destination as Baghdad, but is described as having changed direction in midair and headed for Ahvaz, capital of the south Iranian province of Khuzestan. There, it was said, the Iranian president was awaiting her arrival. But then the plane ran into technical trouble and made an emergency landing and that was when she was injured, according to this theory.
The unexplained death of Commander Job Price, 42, SEALs commander in Afghanistan is tied by some of the speculation to that incident. At the time, the Pentagon reported that his sudden death on Dec. 22, in Uruzgan, Afghanistan, was under investigation. It is now suggested that Commander Price was head of the security detail attached to Clinton for her Iran mission and he was one of the casualties of the accident.
In the nature of things, the impact these kinds of rumors have lingers even when they are officially denied – especially given Secretary Clinton’s unusually long absence from the public eye. The medical report promised Wednesday after she is monitored at the hospital for 48 hours to assess her condition, “including other issues associated with her concussion,” is tensely awaited. After that, said the hospital announcement, “her doctors will determine if any further action is required.”
Clinton, known as the most traveled Secretary of State in US diplomatic history, has been in the international spotlight since 1992 when her husband Bill Clinton was elected president and she became first lady. She then served in the US Senate and later ran for the presidency against Barack Obama.
Sad state of things
Not a peep heard. I have not been able to locate anything anywhere in which the so called journalist and news reporters exclaim “Liars!”. No where am I able to locate someone hanging around the CES’s head the mantle of protector of the Islamists. Here is a recent exclamation of the MB and their cry of Islamist victory in Egypt over the new constitution. Remember O and others said MB was about democratic change and increase of rights in Egypt. Remember that? Some including me wrote they are liars and will bring in Islamists government to Egypt and then the citizens of Egypt will have it worse than before under Mubarak. It has been playing out as feared. and this is still on the beginning.
Getting my thinking back to our country I look at the so-called news agencies in national, regional and local and wonder what it all means that no one is holding O accountable. But then I think back to the election day results and if they were accurate and nothing hinky occurred the majority of this nation preferred four more years of him than someone else considered conservative. In my way of thinking our nation is really screwed up and I honestly don’t see it ever correcting. The snowball is rolling down the steepest part of the mountain and the only thing that will stop it is a sudden impact. And as disgusted as I am about the president, I am also disgusted with Congress. They are playing “uncle” with the lives of millions of US citizens and quite possibly the economy of the nation. Playing “uncle” because each party measures success solely in getting the other to bow to their position. They are playing “Survivor” in Congress and the public is allowing it to happen.
What is required for a positive change revolution to occur in our country? This is where my thinking will be in the next few days or weeks.
