Ukraine: word of warning – focus on allies in Europe not the USA

Ukraine’s interim prime minister, Arseniy Yatsenyuk needs to speak with eastern European countries such as Poland about the willingness and integrity of Obama and his administration. Ukraine needs to use EU allies such as Merkel to broker a draw down of escalation and the actual removal of troops from Crimea. Putin is a chess player and I am certain that his posturing with Crimea is to get the Ukrainian government to keep the ties with Russia and be part of the bloc as the previous Russian crony had decided. Yatsenyuk needs to be cautious with his words and urgent admonition that Ukraine is looking westward and that is where it will go. He needs to focus on the matter about his country and Russia and put that matter to the side. It may be quite possible once he talks with Putin to identify a third option that will allow both sides to get what they want.

But still — bottom-line —- For the sake of the Ukrainians, Yatsenyuk do not rely on Obama.

GM and the lack of CSR in the ignition issue on the Saturn ION

My wife and I can report from first hand experience the danger this issue caused.

We own a 2007 Saturn ION3. I was the primary driver of the car the first couple years then she took it over when we purchased a Highlander. In the first couple years I experienced three times when the ignition decided to turn itself off while I was driving. Two on a winding road in our subdivision and once on the highway. The first two times I figured I somehow bumped the key but the third time while driving on the highway I was certain I hadn’t and lets just say for a minute their things were REALLY freaking interesting. I took the car to the Saturn dealer and they looked at it and said nothing was wrong with it and that they were unable to duplicate the error. They suggested I check the weight of my keys which was not the issue for it contained the fob, ignition key and one house key. When wifey became the primary driver of the car she was aware of the matter and had changed her key ring to only have the fob and the ignition key. Guess what happened? Driving down a busy road the ignition turned off. We took the car back to the dealer and requested they change out the ignition tumbler and they said they did. Since we had the tumbler replaced we have not had an issue with ignition. Do you consider that coincidence? (please refer to Gibbs’ Rule #39 – There is no such thing as a coincidence)

If memory serves me correctly the CEO in 2001 was Wagoner. Seems like someone needs to talk to him and review files pertaining to him.

Feinstein vs. CIA

Transcript of Feinstein’s speech today in reference to the CIA illegal search, seizure of files and intimidation of the Senate intelligence committee staff members.

If you read the transcript which is very informative about our government and the CIA you will see toward the end the following:

“I should note that for most if not all of the CIA’s detention and interrogation program, the now-acting general counsel was a lawyer in the CIA’s counterterrorism center, the unit within which the CIA managed and carried out this program. From mid-2004 until the official termination of the detention and interrogation program in January 2009, he was the unit’s chief lawyer. He is mentioned by name more than 1,600 times in our study.

And now, this individual is sending a crimes report to the Department of Justice on the actions of Congressional staff — the same Congressional staff who researched and drafted a report that details how CIA officers, including the acting general counsel himself, provided inaccurate information to the Department of Justice about the program.”

This is the kind of stuff that is supposedly (wink, wink, nod, nod) fiction.

I am trying to locate the name of this individual. If someone knows please share.

CIA Director has already commented that her comments and accusation “that’s just beyond the scope of reason.”

What EXACTLY is the deal?

Can we get a straight story? Let me put it in a better way – can we be told the truth?

Do you remember what “truth” is? “Truth” does not include spin. It does not include half the information.

For those of you who are unable to understand or remember what “truth” is, let me provide the definition of the word from Dictionary.com:

1. the true or actual state of a matter
2. conformity with fact or reality, verity
3. a verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like
4. the state or character of being true
5. actuality or actual existence

What exactly I am referring to? What EXACTLY is the nuclear agreement with Iran? No, I do not want Kerry’s interpretation of the document. NO, I do not want Iran’s interpretation. What EXACTLY does the document state? NO, I don’t want information from a brief or from websites interpreting of the events. NO, we do not want information from an anonymous inside source. We WANT TO SEE THE EXACT DOCUMENT. WE WANT TO READ THE EXACT WORDS.

Why?

We can not trust our governments.

The amoral, unethical, lying president of the United States of America

Mr. Krauthammer does another excellent job of putting the tail on the donkey.

One of the points of Gates’ book new book is that policy in the United States is something of a political tool not an ethical or moral tool. Anyone following the antics of some of our Presidents would say “duh, obviously”. But the matter has not always been the case. Reagan’s policies were mostly (I have to use this word since I lack perfect recalling ability) ethical and moral responses or strategies. “W” often acted as such (definitely not always). The current president, our empty suit, however is a political creature with a liberal backbone and his actions are based on the narcissistic acquiring of personal power and prestige so that he can shape the USA in his own image (words selection is deliberate here). But let’s not stop there – we must also look our Congress that has finally matured into a monstrosity organism and organization which is in many ways the same type of creature our president is. Morality, ethics and values that are intertwined in one’s DNA that are not self-serving, narcissistic in nature is almost completely void in our Congressional representation. Why is that? Well ladies and gentlemen that is because they are merely getting away with what our society is allowing them to get away with. Our society in my nation is on the whole diseased and sick with narcissism, immorality, amorality, unethical people. Question my diagnosis? Look at our elected officials. Look at our entertainment industry and their products. Look at our public schools. Look at our universities and colleges. Sad isn’t it.

Yet I am certain of this: Our president and congress doesn’t represent me and a few thousand others.

What a mess this nation has become. When our country desperately needs its own SPRING we are yet dead in the middle of a hard cold winter.
