Iran and the Long Game

As more news headlines appeared this week, one can see the signs that what is being allowed to transpire in Iran in reference to their nuclear program has all the indications of nuclear weapon technology as the desired result. To laymen the number of facilities and centrifuges that Iran wants to build and get on line does not make sense for a nation their size if the sole purpose is nuclear energy for civil purposes. The signing of a treaty stating they are against nuclear weapons means nothing. It is formality and so-called legal accountability for others to hold them to. In Iran it is a tool to allow more time to pass so centrifuges can spin and more production facilities can be built.

Russia requires a strong Iran. Russia needs a strong straw-man built in the Middle East that it can allow to “be evil” so that Russia can then gain prominence in the world as a peace and stability champion. Arming and assisting Iran also pumps much needed finances and jobs into Russia. It is a dangerous game Putin is planning and playing. Sometimes straw-men don’t behave as one planned. But for Putin, a narcissist of high degree, that scenario either does not enter his mind or he figures it will be someone else’s problem. Either way he gets what he wants. He wants to be viewed not simply as an evil self-centered man. He wants adulation and respect.

Iran – the Ayatollah and his government want a Middle East free of strong non-Muslims. I am stating it as delicately and nicely as possible. That is the simple end game. Whatever has to be done to get there is allowable, righteous and justified (also a tactic in the Jesuit and Roman Catholic playbook).

News this week from the UN’s IAEA states that Iran is one month away from producing weapons grade uranium. Later Israel reminded everyone that they will act before that reality is realized. Senators McCain and Graham wrote an article for the Washington Post sharing with readers that our government is failing in the Middle East and our interests there. The two examples they provide are the bungling of Syria and the amateur approach to Iran. Meanwhile last week it was quietly reported that the talks in Geneva with Iran were a failure. But the reader must be reminded it was not a failure for Iran for they were able to position and stall and all the while centrifuges are spinning and facilities are being designed and constructed. That is called playing the “long game”.

Obama’s nuclear fumbling

The president of the USA desperately wanting to look like a foreign policy mastermind continues to play “back-channel” (on the down-low don’t you know) with Iran about the nuclear issue of their country.

Today’s Debka headline – US to Iran ahead of Geneva: Carry on enriching uranium, but cut down on advanced IR-2 centrifuges

(The headline should read: Obama to Iran ahead…)

Meanwhile leading US Senators (bipartisan even!) went to Obama with the instructions that he is not to allow Iran to continue enriching uranium. Do you plainly see what that means/implies?! So-called Congressional leadership knows too darn well what he is going to allow them to continue. “But they promised…” he says. It brings to mind the UK Prime Minister Chamberlain who was so proud he had Hitler’s promise that he (Germany) would not seek territorial gain via invasion any longer and then… KABOOM

Read the words of the journalists in Iran (see below) and then honestly come back with a reasonable rebuttal that the leadership in Iran is going to be honest and genuine ABOUT THEIR INTENTIONS AND PRACTICES .

The Week Magazine, October 4 issue has in their “How they see us” section the following story & headline:
Should Iran make up with the U.S.?

I’m not a hundred percent sure how long the link works since I am a subscriber so I am providing their content below:

It’s time for Iran to talk directly to America, said Davoud Hermidas Bavand in Etemaad (Iran). Surely it’s no accident that Presidents Barack Obama and Hassan Rouhani have publicized their recent exchange of personal letters, a thaw in relations without precedent in the past three decades. Both leaders are preparing for a historic negotiation to resolve the dispute over Iran’s peaceful nuclear programs, which has crippled this country with economic sanctions. Such a negotiation is greatly desired by Iranians, who voted for Rouhani this summer in the hope that he would get the sanctions lifted and turn the economy around. While the sanctions regime has been imposed by a consortium of countries, it’s clear that “America is the behind-the-scenes force in the talks and, therefore, Iran should accept the offer of bilateral talks with America to protect its interests.”

It won’t be that simple, said Mohammad Imani inKayhan. “The problem between us and the U.S. does not stem from emotional issues to be cleared up with a handshake and a hug.” Obama’s hand “is the hand of a criminal.” It’s the same hand that, “directly or indirectly, authorized a cyberattack on Iranian nuclear installations and the killing of prominent Iranian scientists in cold blood.” It’s the hand that signed the orders to oppress the Iranian people with sanctions, causing a currency collapse and shortages of food and medicine that hurt millions of women and children. Like every American leader, Obama can’t be trusted.

Don’t worry—Rouhani isn’t that naïve, said Saleh Eskandari in Resalat. The Western press has seized on Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s statement that Iran should practice “heroic flexibility” and interpreted it to mean that Iran is ready to capitulate to American demands. They should take a closer look at the origin of the phrase. It was the Prophet Mohammed who invented the tactic of heroic flexibility when he concluded the Hudaybiyya Treaty with the tribes of Mecca in 628. The Prophet compromised on the wording of that treaty, omitting references to God, and many of his followers were upset. The pact, though, brought peace for two years, and during that time Mohammed vastly increased his army, “paving the way for the conquest of Mecca” soon after. The end result, of course, was victory. In that spirit, Iran can practice heroic flexibility in negotiations today, while never forgetting that “America, the Zionist regime, and the arrogant supporters of that cancerous cell are the sentinels of oppression and injustice in the world.”

In fact, said Hossein Shariatmadari in Kayhan, the Supreme Leader himself said that heroic flexibility should be understood as the flexibility of a wrestler, who can bend, even tumble, during the course of a match. “But he does not forget who his opponent is,” or that he is engaged in combat. Each wrestling match has a winner. “Flexibility does not mean retreat.”

Intentions

Over the last two weeks much has been written about the events that are unfolding in the Middle East. Much of what has been pushed out to the masses has been commentary and opinion not actual developments. Here is my 2 cents:

The matter of Iran and the nuclear weapon issue gets down to discerning their intention based on their actions. What they want is for everyone to believe their intention in reference to nuclear technology has no correlation to their actions and policy in actual experience in the Middle East and abroad. The lives negatively impacted in the region because of their funneling funds, weapons and soldiers in places such as Syria should be considered the exception to the rule. The same goes for their funding, weapons and strategic leadership to Hezbollah; yes, another supposed exception. The same goes for their … with Hamas and other identified terrorist groups. All of these we are to believe are the exception to their “noble” intentions. Yes, what they want the world to believe is that when it comes to nuclear technology they have no desire to develop and use it for military resources. They have no desire to make it available to Hezbollah, Hamas, etc. They have no desire or intention to acquire the “flaming sword of Islam”. We are to believe that the ayatollah – the chief ruler of Iran – has an ethical precept when it comes to nuclear weapons. (Mind you, not the tons of WMD chemical weapons in Syria’s arsenal. This they allowed to be after all who are they to infringe on a sovereign recognized nation?) No we are to disregard the current and historical practices of the leadership of the country and accept the warm smile, kind words and a promise that they have no intention to create nuclear weapons.

I have written it before but am stating it again – the current president of the USA is actively working a nuclear strategy in the Middle East that will make the demand that Israel must get rid of their nuclear weapons. The groundwork has been made over the past six to twelve months. The final calling line – If Iran is to have no nuclear weapons why is Israel allowed to have them? The political strategies the chief empty suit is trying to make into a staunch reality is one in which Israel will be positioned as a war-monger and in order to exist peacefully (wink, wink) they will need to relinquish much more land and authority to the Palestinians and scrap heap their nuclear weapons. They are being quickly corralled into a corner  (if not have been) that is of the making of Barrack Hussein Obama.

The events which are occurring and the way our current administration is engaging them is scary. We have a HORRENDOUS vacuum of leadership in our government – Wise, Ethical Leadership. And if I may take it even a step farther – Christian Leadership.

MEANWHILE,  in the USA’s MSM and the populace as a whole important matters have been relegated to the small font, less prominent headline placeholders (if even present) on websites and publications:

  • the NSA and government invasion of privacy across the globe the economy and the change of the norm for the average employee remains inferior and for many unacceptable and unsustainable
  • the mandatory national health insurance plan created by the president that is economically and practically unsustainable is uncoiling and coming to life
  • the almost complete erosion of moral principles, civility, decency and etiquette in society
  • many more things but I’m sure you get the point

Chemical weapons – more to the story?

“Syrian rebels in the Damascus suburb of Ghouta have admitted to Associated Press correspondent Dale Gavlak that they were responsible for last week’s chemical weapons incident which western powers have blamed on Bashar Al-Assad’s forces, revealing that the casualties were the result of an accident caused by rebels mishandling chemical weapons provided to them by Saudi Arabia.”

Syrian rebels admit chemical weapons incident their fault

Syrian rebels also have access to chemical weapons via Saudi Arabia

Is it possible WH knows this and is using it as a false flag ops?

Follow up questions:

1. Why isn’t this story appearing on AP News?

2. Why isn’t MSM following up on this story?

3. What reasonable advantage would Assad have had to do such a thing?

4. Is the intercepted phone call misunderstood by the WH? Is it the actions of a panicked officer/administrator reacting at a subordinate assuming one of theirs took things too far (i,e. not following orders)?

Still – with this swirl and the pounding the WH is now giving Congress via MSM that they need to give him the okay – STILL – whatever the answers are to the questions stated above – we have absolutely no business engaging in Syria via military actions of any kind. We have no business funneling any type of guns, ammunition or other weapons into the mix either. Humanitarian assistance by those who want to help, have at it.

Think of it this way, the less opportunity for bungling by the president of the USA – the better.

Revealing week

The analysis in this morning’s Debka article is solid, though I disagree with the call to action in the last two paragraphs in reference to Israel.

The USA’s president should have never opened his mouth in reference to red lines in referring to Syria a few months ago. He was shooting off his mouth and publically displaying his arrogance. Now here we go again. He states he is going to make them pay with a precise “shot over the bow” and then contemplates his navel and jelly backbone for the week, just long enough (if does such action) that Assad has moved his helicopters, planes, troops to safe shelter so as to minimize any actual damage. Again, we have no business being the world’s police. They (Syria) have not attacked us or our allies nor is our allies (Israel) wanting us to attack Syria. We should keep out of it – period.

I agree that the activities in Syria and the bungling bravado of our current administration has bolstered AQ, Iran, Hezbelloah and Assad while also providing more insight to Israel about just how solid our actions will be in reference to the Iranian nuclear issue.

The United States of America has a lot of problems which are not being addressed or are being addressed incorrectly. The current administration elected by the majority of voters in our clueless society is an accurate snapshot of the ills of our society. At the core the issue is a values system that is erroneous and often immoral. You can not reasonably or sanely expect consistent moral and ethical behavior from such a damaged foundation.

Catching up

A lot of things have been going on in personal life which has kept me from posting here like I want to. I have quite a bit of articles and news in my folder as things to share which are somewhat old news now. At the bottom of the post are links to articles of interest I wanted to share and still do.

The developments in Egypt seem to be improving. Why do I write that? Because the leader of the MB has been arrested as well as many of the high level leaders. Some were captured dressed like women trying to leave the country. I’m sure others hid among children and women using them as human shields being the cowards and immoral troublemakers they are. Saudi Arabia stood up for the people of Egypt in the nick of time and got the idiots in our government and other WH cronies in Europe to shut up with their pro-MB rhetoric. Absolute idiots – all of them. Of course blood has been shed – that is what happens when you try to disarm and remove power from murderers and terrorists. I think the nation is fortunate that so far the death toll is not higher than it is.

Syria and more evidence of current chemical weapons. I doubt Assad did it or put another way – that he authorized such use. Hopefully he will give investigators full access and the whole story will come out. I suspect it will be the actions of radicals – Islamists – also known as terrorists trying to bring intervention of the world in to the arena to remove him from power so that they can hopefully fill the vacuum when the dust settles (see recent history in Egypt and Libya).

So quickly here in the USA the NSA’s intrusion in our lives with the full power and knowledge of the Democrat WH has become old news and back burnered (if even on the stove). The actions by the UK against Greenwald’s partner shows the heart of those we are suppose to actually trust. The loser president of the US pontificating a couple weeks ago of real independent investigation into the NSA practices has been revealed to be —– wait for it ——– yet another ——— L I E. It is a team of four people, one a recent acting head of the CIA and 3 former WH advisers. Meanwhile in the USA the majority of people are tuning into some show Duck Dynasty. Absolutely no wonder we got what we have in leadership positions in our governments.

Big dive coming in the US economy. Never rely on the government numbers. They are skewed – they admit they are if you are willing to read the details and fine print. To understand the state of the economy you must look at the actual numbers of the companies/manufacturers/etc. It is obvious when looking at sales and profits things are off. When welfare hand outs are at their highest levels ever – don’t “drink the kool-aid” and look around.

On a less serious note I see that a huge blunder has been made by Warner Brothers.
