(Below is a hodge podge of abstractions from various reporting.)

House of Representatives’ investigation into the NSA’s surveillance of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election, the chairman of the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), said today that members of the Donald Trump transition team, possibly including Trump himself, were under surveillance during the Obama administration following November’s election.

Nunes told reporters that communications from the Trump team were picked up and disseminated within the government during the 2016 campaign. Nunes said sources within the intelligence community presented him with the information. He spoke to the press after briefing the administration.

“We don’t actually know yet officially what happened to General Flynn,” Nunes said of how communications from Gen. Flynn’s calls were leaked to the press. “We just know that his name leaked out but we don’t know how it was picked up yet. That was one of the things that we asked for in the March 15th letter, was for the NSA, CIA, and FBI to get us all the unmasking that was done.”

“And I’ll tell you, NSA is being cooperative,” Nunes continued, “but so far the FBI has not told us whether or not they’re going to respond to our March 15th letter, which is now a couple of weeks old.”

Nunes also reported that as of now, he “cannot rule out” President Obama ordering the surveillance.

And contrary to earlier media reports, Nunes clarified that the surveillance was not related to the FBI’s investigation into possible collusion with Russia. This surveillance, he emphasized to reporters, does not “have anything to do with Russia.”

Nunes just said there are “multiple FISA warrants out there” involving Trump.

Nunes said the surveillance appears to have been legal, incidental collection and that it does not appear to have been related to concerns over collusion with Russia.

Watch now over the next 72 hours the twisting MSM will do with this information and evidence. TPTB will be working hard to provide new story lines to “switch the channel” on the average citizen’s attention span to their MSM news diet.

Question for those not seeing the obvious. Why was the NSA and possibly other intelligence agencies collecting surveillance of the Trump transition team if it had nothing to do with Russia?

President Trump and staff…

It is import to quit using the word “wire-tap” in reference to what OBAMA and his administration did in using government resources and agencies to listen and read conversations and correspondence in the Trump Plaza and elsewhere prior to the election.
Using the word wire-tap gives all those who are guilty a pass. Because they can CORRECTLY deny that it was ever done.
You need to use the correct vocabulary in describing the illegal and unethical work Obama and his administration did in breaching Mr. Trump and all his staff etc. privacy.

Iran, Syria, Iraq, NSA news

Wise words from Governor Rick Perry on current events in Syria and Iraq.

An article I have been holding since 5/25 yet again clearly states Iran’s perspective of the USA. Really, as a president, why would you trust them?

Krauthammer’s 6/19 post on developments in Iraq.

In this Guardian post today, 80% of all audio calls (in length not just metadata) are recorded by the NSA.

Beneficial reading

Published today in the UK by Guardian journalist Glenn Greenwald is the short article: On the Espionage Act charged against Edward Snowden. Greenwald is one of the journalist that Snowden reached out to when deciding to go forward with whistleblowing on the US government.

It is a good synopsis about the intent of Snowden and the intent of the diabolical corrupt White House, a.k.a President of the United States.

Here are a couple blurbs from the article:
“What has been “harmed” is not the national security of the US but the ability of its political leaders to work against their own citizens and citizens around the world in the dark, with zero transparency or real accountability. If anything is a crime, it’s that secret, unaccountable and deceitful behavior: not the shining of light on it.”

“Prior to Barack Obama’s inauguration, there were a grand total of three prosecutions of leakers under the Espionage Act (including the prosecution of Dan Ellsberg by the Nixon DOJ). That’s because the statute is so broad that even the US government has largely refrained from using it. But during the Obama presidency, there are now sevensuch prosecutions: more than double the number under all prior US presidents combined.”

“But that’s a far cry from charging Snowden, who just turned 30 yesterday, with multiple felonies under the Espionage Act that will send him to prison for decades if not life upon conviction. In what conceivable sense are Snowden’s actions “espionage”? He could have – but chose not – sold the information he had to a foreign intelligence service for vast sums of money, or covertly passed it to one of America’s enemies, or worked at the direction of a foreign government. That is espionage. He did none of those things.”  [2 cents: The US government’s present to him for his birthday was the charges of treason etc..]
