The WH once again sides with the Islamists / Fundamentalists

Egypt’s Morsi and his Islamist friends and peers the Muslim Brotherhood were given an ultimatum by the Egyptian national army – resolve the protesters’ demands – in other words come to some agreement or we will initiate a plan for the future of Egypt. Morsi has been packing government (national and local) positions with Islamists. The MB’s grip on the nation is tight and there is very little if not no room left for leadership in the country that has not embraced an Islamist’s position. Islamist is the new way to say fundamentalist since fundamentalist has been the consistent tag & position of the terrorist organizations. The political hand of the same body has allocated this term (Islamist) so as to give them a clean, righteous and respectable position which also should (they hope) muddy the connection between them and the terrorists.

So the protesters who want a secular society are not only left without a say in the government they are squeezed tighter and tighter by the religion extremism of those who have the power.

What is O’s reaction to the ultimatum? Would he side with the protesters and their plea for democracy and separation of religion and state powers? Ha! True to his colors which he refuses to admit blatantly in public, he sides with the Islamists. The impudent president of the USA, the person (note the non-use of the word “man”) who held his mouth when the so-called Arab Spring swept inside Iran – has once again scrambled to reinforce and strengthen the Fundamentalist.

It will be interesting to see how the events in Egypt play out. Shame on the president of the USA.

Focus domestically

The government of the USA has more than enough matters domestically that requires attention and/or funds to either create or improve so why not focus on those? Why spend dollars and other resources for a civil war in Syria, especially when your choice to back is the group that has blatantly and repeatedly pledged its allegiance to Al Qaida? Why continue funneling dollars (aka support) to nations that are hostile to either our country and/or way of life (see Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc.) Why aren’t our so-called leaders making wise and sensible decisions? This really is a no-brainer. Focus domestically! Our infrastructure is in bad shape and that is an understatement. For example:

  • the electric grid for our nation is outdated
  • many bridges and roads have not been updated/repaired/serviced
  • cellular and broadband access shouldn’t have dark spots
  • even irrigation improvements for farms and parks needs to be evaluated.

I am sure there are many more matters I am missing.

As far as political mines we have border security, making us oil-independent, alternative energy needs – surely you see the point. FOCUS DOMESTICALLY.

I am not one who supports the idea of a UN — BUT — since it is there, don’t you think the matters in Syria should fall in their lap? If they are having a civil war – it happens. In civil wars, people die and eventually one is left standing and they rule the country. This is a matter for the UN and border nations. We have no business with Syria, so why are we going to meddle? Whatever side we pick we are allies with people who are aligned with terrorist organizations.

Middle East at the center

Russia, Syria and Iran desperately hope to provoke Israel into a bad move so as to unite the Arab voice against one common enemy – Israel. Hizballah wants all the weaponry possible from Russia as a means to punish Israel for existing. Iran needs Hizballah to be armed to the teeth in the need for retaliation if Israel attempts a strategic attack against the nuclear program in Iran. Syria is the disguise for these actions. Putin and Russia a long time ago cast their hat with the Muslims in the Middle East, I believe for two reasons: 1. Atheistic nation (Russia) sees Israel as a symbol tied to the existence of God. 2. Close customers to buy military weaponry produced in Russia who will deal with reason 1. Add to this mix of news that Russia is now planning to resume nuclear submarine patrols in the southern hemisphere seas after twenty years of quiet.

I have not been keeping up with the unrest in Turkey and the marches in the capital, but it does smell like something orchestrated by groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists because Erdogan does have a friendly relationship with Israel and the western world. In their eyes you can not be a good Muslim and have alliances with the infidels and great Satan. Turkey is a significant strategic point for current and future military and the like dealings with Iran, Syria and Russia. If I was a gambling man that is where and why I would put my money. What does that mean? Well one thing for certain, if you are a female in Turkey who appreciates freedom you better be looking to move to Europe or the USA. When the Islamists and MB get things swirling – the end result is strife, violence and loss of freedom (see Egypt and Iran for current examples).

Meanwhile the pathetic government in the USA is expecting more concessions from Israel in order to get their Palestinian agenda pushed through. If Israel is wise they will not bite. They are already hemmed in amongst a violent and often hateful region, there is no need to further hamstring themselves. Three more years and our chief empty suit of a president will be replaced HOPEFULLY by someone much more wise, fair, honest, ethical and Christian.

Another week goes by

Hizballah has got hold of chemical weapons

For the first time in many years, voices in the US administration were criticizing the Israeli defense forces for under-reacting and, in this case, also underestimating the chemical weapons threat emanating from Syria and neglecting to pursue counter-measures. This is what visiting Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak heard when he met US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel at the Pentagon Tuesday, March 5, as the new defense secretary’s first foreign visitor.
DEBKAfile’s military and Washington sources disclose that Barak was berated for “inadequate and cursory” military preparations which failed to take into account that a chemical attack on Israel would make it necessary for the IDF to enter Syria – most likely for an offensive operation coordinated against the common threat with the Turkish and Jordanian armies.  The rest of the story here

Joint task force

A new US-led contingency headquarters for joint US, IsraelU, Jordanian and Turkish operations will go into action inside Syria if any or all these allies should come under chemical or biological attack. Agreement to establish this headquarters was finalized at the talks US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel held with visiting Israeli defense Minister Ehud Barak at the Pentagon Tuesday, March 5.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that Hagel spoke of a chemical war in Syria in terms of an imminent and realistic eventuality. Washington expected the Syrian rebels close to al Qaeda to initiate this type of warfare and the Syria army to fight back in kind. Such an exchange could quickly spill over the Syrian borders to its neighbors, it was likewise predicted. Rest of the story here.

Egypt

When visiting US Secretary of State John Kerry sat one-on-one with Egyptian President Morsi in Cairo, Sunday, March 3, he talked at length about Egypt’s calamitous economic straits, relations with Israel, democratization and essential reforms. He had hoped to find the Egyptian president amenable to getting to grips with his country’s fast approaching bankruptcy. In the event, Morsi nodded politely but, DEBKAfile’s Middle East sources report, he was far more preoccupied with pushing forward the three-point plan he and the Muslim Brotherhood’s supreme leader Mohammed Badie have begun implementing. Details here

Iran

The continuing saga of “I will huff and puff and blow your house down” is here. Meanwhile Iran continues to march closer and closer to their ultimate goal.

2 cents:

What does the above stories reflect? The absence of actual leadership as well as the protection of the USA and its allies.

Sad state of things

Not a peep heard. I have not been able to locate anything anywhere in which the so called journalist and news reporters exclaim “Liars!”. No where am I able to locate someone hanging around the CES’s head the mantle of protector of the Islamists. Here is a recent exclamation of the MB and their cry of Islamist victory in Egypt over the new constitution. Remember O and others said MB was about democratic change and increase of rights in Egypt. Remember that? Some including me wrote they are liars and will bring in Islamists government to Egypt and then the citizens of Egypt will have it worse than before under Mubarak.  It has been playing out as feared. and this is still on the beginning.

Getting my thinking back to our country I look at the so-called news agencies in national, regional and local and wonder what it all means that no one is holding O accountable. But then I think back to the election day results and if they were accurate and nothing hinky occurred the majority of this nation preferred four more years of him than someone else considered conservative. In my way of thinking our nation is really screwed up and I honestly don’t see it ever correcting. The snowball is rolling down the steepest part of the mountain and the only thing that will stop it is a sudden impact. And as disgusted as I am about the president, I am also disgusted with Congress. They are playing “uncle” with the lives of millions of US citizens and quite possibly the economy of the nation. Playing “uncle” because each party measures success solely in getting the other to bow to their position. They are playing “Survivor” in Congress and the public is allowing it to happen.

What is required for a positive change revolution to occur in our country? This is where my thinking will be in the next few days or weeks.
